Obama is a Chicago political sleaze.
This is how it works.  Obama goes all over the country begging for more drilling off the east coast and Alaska.  He makes himself a hero of those demanding energy independence--just like he is promoting nuclear energy.
All the while he knows that the regulatory agencies will not issue the permits and the courts will stop any new drilling for a generation.
He wants to get credit for "drill baby,drill":, all the while knowing it can never happen with his agencies and the courts.
The cynicism of Obama can be found in the works of Saul Alinsky.
"Obama made no secret of the fact that one factor in his decision was securing Republican support for a sweeping climate change bill that has languished in Congress. But Obama has long stated his support in favor of the tough decision to expand offshore drilling.
Lets remember that then-Candidate Obama told people that energy prices would necessarily skyrocket under his Cap and Trade proposal. Lets remember what he said days before Election Day:"
So, he is using this to get political advantage, knowing it will not happen, then he is going to use Lindsay Graham, the Arlen Specter of South Carolina (Graham along with McCain has been advocating amnesty for illegal aliens) to pass this massive tax increase, Cap and Tax, kill jobs--all because BO, Graham and their friends suffer from a serious disease, AGS--Al Gore Syndrome.  In the case of Obama, it is about power, not policy.
Corruption has many forms--this is one of them.
Obama does not intend to allow drilling--this is really his audition as a script writer for Saturday Night Live or cartoonist for Lucy pulling the football from Charlie Brown--this is a joke--on us if we buy it.

Illegal Aliens Supporters Denounce ICE Quota Memo

There is no such thing as an "immigration activist".  In fact, these folks support criminal activity as much as someone promoting assaults and robberies support criminal activity.
Too bad the LA Times is unable to use accurate terms, and instead is a propaganda machine for illegal aliens. Maybe this is why the paper is both morally and fiscally bankrupt?
"The reality is that ICE has gone rogue and needs to be reined in with dramatic action," said Deepak Bhargava, executive director of the Washington-based Center for Community Change. "The agency charged with enforcing the nation's immigration laws is systematically deceiving the president and the American public."
The accusations followed a weekend report in the Washington Post about a Feb. 22 memo from a top ICE official lamenting that the pace of deportations was falling behind a goal of 400,000 annually. The memo also outlined policy changes to turn around the trend."
In fact ICE is doing a poor job of enforcing the law--and these radicals want it to stop enforcing the law all together.    Not once in the article does the Times note the economic, health, public safety or education harm done to this State by the illegal aliens.
Why buy a newspaper that lies by omission?  Why buy a newspaper that is a propaganda sheet for criminals?

State violates e-waste rules

In totalitarian States, rules are made for the people, and government makes rules for itself.  Government tells people how to live, and like the Communist Party in the old Soviet Union, the owners of government can do what they want.
"Despite a state Auditors report and a four-year-old law that prohibits consumers from throwing old and broken electronic devices into the trash, many state agencies are apparently still throwing computers, television sets, radios, printers, copiers, radios and cell phones into the trash rather than putting them through special recycling efforts, a CalWatchdog investigation shows."
If a private business did not fill out the forms properly, they would be fined. Government can not be fined, so it gets away with murder.
"For its part, the Department of General Services insists that state agencies are recycling old and unwanted electronic devices, but that many agencies simply arent properly reporting the recycling on the property survey reports. I think theres room for improvement as to how they report this on the forms, General Services spokesman Eric Lamoureaux said. Weve been focused on this over the last two years. Between June and December of 2009 we recycled 74,000 tons of electronic waste.
Another sign California is a totalitarian State.

ObamaCare tax hike that loses 5X revenues

By ending a tax break worth $233, it will cost the taxpayers, us, $1,029.  This is economic disaster--by economic and math illiterates.
"The bottom line: by closing this loophole which was originally created to dissuade companies from dumping retirees prescription costs into Medicare Part D the government could lose more than five times what it brings in.
    The Employee Benefit Research Institute calculates that the 28% subsidy on average will run taxpayers $665 in 2011 and that the tax dispensation is worth $233. The same plan in Medicare costs $1,209. Given that Congress has already committed the original sin of creating a drug entitlement that crowds out private coverage, $233 in corporate tax breaks to avoid spending $1,209 seems like a deal. If one out of four retirees is now moved into Medicare, the public fisc will take on huge new liabilities."
Any wonder Obama is building an addition $10 trillion deficit in just eight years--this is why America will be in a Depression for at least two more generations--and that only if we end the promiscuous spending by the radical and special interest controlled White House and President.

1. Americans spend $36,000,000 at Wal-Mart Every hour of every day.
2.. This works out to $20,928 profit every minute!
3. Wal-Mart will sell more from January 1 to St. Patrick's Day  (March 17th) than Target sells all year. 
4. Wal-Mart is bigger than Home Depot + Kroger + Target + Sears + Costco + K-Mart combined.
5. Wal-Mart employs 1.6 million people and is the largest private Employer, and most speak English. 6. Wal-Mart is the largest company in the history of the World.
7. Wal-Mart now sells more food than Kroger & Safeway combined, and keep in mind they did this in only 15 years.
8. During this same period, 31 supermarket chains sought bankruptcy.
9. Wal-Mart now sells more food than any other store in the world. 
10. Wal-Mart has approx 3,900 stores in the USA of which 1,906 are Super Centers; this is 1,000 more than it had 5 Years ago.
11. This year 7.2 billion different purchasing experiences will occur At a Wal-Mart store. (Earth's population is approximately 6.5 Billion.)
12. 90% of all Americans live within 15 miles of a Wal-Mart.

You may think that I am complaining, but I am really laying the ground work for suggesting that MAYBE we should hire the guys who run Wal-Mart to Fix the economy.

The U.S. Post Service was established in 1775. You have had 234 years to get it right and it is broke.

Social Security was established in 1935. You have had 74 years to get it right and it is broke.

Fannie Mae was established in 1938. You have had 71 years to get it right and it is broke.

War on Poverty started in 1964. You have had 45 years to get it right; $1 trillion of our money is confiscated each year and transferred to "the poor"  and they only want more.

Medicare and Medicaid were established in 1965. You have  had 44 years to get it right and they are broke.

Freddie Mac was established in 1970. You have had 39 years to get it right and it is broke.

The Department of Energy was created in 1977 to lessen our dependence on foreign oil. It has ballooned to 16,000 employees with a budget of $24 billion a year and we import more oil than ever before. You had 32 years to get it right and it is an abysmal failure.

You have FAILED in every "government service" you have shoved down our throats while overspending our tax dollars

AND YOU WANT AMERICANS TO BELIEVE YOU CAN BE TRUSTED WITH A GOVERNMENT-RUN HEALTH CARE SYSTEM??
